I am a freelance photographer based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, specialising in music photography both live and portraits.
Recently I completed a BA ( Hons ) in Creative Practice specialising in photography – achieving a 2:1.
In 2008 I was named Fujifilm Student Photographer of the year for my photograph featured on the Penguin Modern Classic version of The Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison.
My work has been published by NME, Rolling Stone, NARC, Glorious Noise, Classic Rock, and other outlets. As well as being used on book covers and album covers.
I am the house photographer at Newcastle O2 Academy – I am shooting gigs there regularly.
Although I shoot the majority of my work in digital with a Canon 5D MK II, I also shoot in medium format with a Mamiya RZ67 or Hasselblad 500. I am also proficient using large format 5×4 photography.
Recently I have been involved with videography and have worked filming two short films as well as making a music video. In 2011 I have been filming a series of acoustic performances in my studio building. I have also made my first music video for The Union Choir. You have some great photography. Nothing more phenomenal then capturing the rock n roll artist in action.
Thank you for those kind words
