It was so great to catch up with The Voyeurs ( previously Charlie Boyer and the Voyeurs).
Although the band were delayed on the motorway getting to the gig , they still found the time to do some photographs with me after their soundcheck.
Here are three portraits done before the gig – one of which included me standing on top of chair which in turn was on top of a table. I think it was worth it. Looking forward to seeing them again later in the year

Hi David, These are great photos! I came across you’re work whilst looking up the night and day cafe in manchester as my brother is in a band and they’re performing there tomorrow. I’ve got into photography since getting my first digital camera a year ago and my brother has asked me if I can take some band shots backstage at the venue so they have a photo to go with the release of their new songs. Would you have any tips or advice? I’ve photographed one of my brothers gigs live before but I haven’t done portraits yet so I’m not entirely confident in that area. Thanks, sabrina.

That sounds great. The only advice his have fun, be relaxed and confident.
Take a flash/ lighting If I remember rightly the dressing room was pretty dark
