In September I set myself a target to gain a 2:1 for my BA ( Hons ) in Creative Practice – yesterday I surprised myself when I received news that I had attained my goal. I feel this has closed a chapter in my life and I am now looking forward to working full-time as a photographer where as before I was building up my business. Reality bites and now I have to make a living from this – I will give it my best shot. Thank you to everyone at Newcastle College
A big thank you to my wife and all my friends who have supported me with my photography.
It has been a great way to meet new people and friends as well as reacquainting myself with old friends.
Thank you also to all the bands and people in the music business who have either particiapted in my projects or helped me out with accreditiation etc – I am eternally grateful
x

Just reviewing/reflecting on my images and I think this is one of my strongest shots in the past month
I have been on holiday after finishing my BA in Creative practice. Today I am back and have added photographs of New York Dolls at Camden Koko, Ever Since The lake Caught Fire, and images from the NSE weekended at The Cluny featuring some of the leading bands from the North East.
Expect further updates soon including my Instamatic For The People images.

It was a pleasure to shoot at both days and document some of the finest current North East bands all playing at this fundraiser for a very good cause.

I was pleased to see my photographs of a local band to Detroit Social Club getting some publicity in the USA on a site that attracts over 45,000 unique visitors per month.
Hopefully they will become even bigger than Newcastle Brown Ale in the USA.
2010 looks like being a big year for Detroit Social Club.

Last week someone who was trying to be helpful offered to get me any band for my exhibition – that is not what I wanted
For my exhibition my top priority is a band that first and foremost I like, and also that I have worked with or photographed.
That is why am thrilled that Mansfield Holiday kindly agreed to perform at the opening night of No Expectation Photography exhibition – it will make it a special night for me.
Check them out here
One of my favourite and the band’s favourite shots from Brillian Mind’s debut London show
